White River Faustite & Sterling Silver | Elk Track Embellishments | Sterling Silver Posts & Backs
You know that feeling when you're high up — really high up — and the world below hasn't caught up with you yet?
Just shy of 13,000' on the north face of the Maroon Bells, the last patches of snow still cling to the chutes long after the lower country has thawed. Snowmass Creek is born up there, quietly at first — meltwater threading through scree, gathering itself before it tumbles downslope into willows and wildflowers and the full, wild life of Lost Remuda Basin.
I've followed that creek for miles. Called out "hey bear" when I spotted their sign. Pushed through dense willows well over my head, knowing elk were close, possibly moose. Little ground squirrels sounded the alarm as I passed through.
When I found these White River Faustite stones, I was back on that high slope in an instant — standing at the edge of a snowfield, watching the mountain give birth to a creek. The color, the movement, the way the light catches them. That's what these earrings hold.
The elk track embellishments aren't decoration. They're a record. The same kind of sign I was reading on the ground up there, pressed into mud alongside the water.
If you've ever stood somewhere wild and felt it settle into you — these earrings will take you back to that place. We all have one. The mountain, the creek, the moment the world went quiet and you were just exactly where you were supposed to be.
