Some landscapes stay with you long after you've left them behind.

For a few summers, I ran rivers in Oregon — the McKenzie, the Umpqua, the Metolius, the Willamette. Wild water flanked by basalt cliffs, old-growth fir, and the slow exhale of volcanic mountains. On rare days off, my friend Jen and I and I would push north to Puget Sound, where the world shifted entirely.

Two kinds of wild. Two kinds of water.

Puget Sound at night: inky black and alive with bioluminescence, each paddle stroke trailing cold green fire. The Oregon rivers: fast, loud, and honest — the kind of water that demands your full attention and gives back something you can't quite name.

This piece carries both. The soft sage-green of Carmel Mountain Variscite holds the quiet of those Pacific Northwest mornings. The sterling silver setting wraps each stone like it was always meant to be there — smooth at the edges, lightweight in the hand, the kind of earrings you reach for first and wear until someone stops you to ask where you got them.
