When this Bamboo Mountain Turquoise arrived, it spoke with urgency — the kind that gets you to the bench immediately. I could see the water in it. A high country spring, cold and clear, bubbling up through rock that's been holding it for longer than any of us can reckon. The blue-green of the stone is deep and saturated, the matrix dark — almost black — running through it like the shadow of a creek bed seen from above.

I set it, and then I saw the swallows. Two of them, darting back and forth over the water the way they do on summer evenings — quick and purposeful, barely touching the surface. I made them in sterling silver and set them flying around the stone. They belong there.

The cuff is work-hardened sterling — nearly 6" around with a 1" opening, built to hold its shape and wear for a lifetime. It can be gently adjusted for fit. There's weight to it, the good kind — the kind that reminds you it's there.
