Cold water trout

A pair of Easter Blue turquoise earrings, stones sourced from the Ottesons in Nye County, Nevada. Set in sterling silver.

The moment I claimed these stones, I knew they needed to stand on their own. Their presence was undeniable — something quietly wild about them. I couldn't resist setting a few western stars above, a nod to the high desert nights out here in the Great Basin, where the sky goes ink-black and a million pins of light take over.

These stones called up something else, too: the flash of a trout cutting through a cold mountain stream high up in the Sierras. Green and mahogany flickering through pure snowmelt. I'm not much of a fisherman — but I've never been able to stay away from water, or the creatures within it. Every shadow, every star, every day spent outside shapes what I make.
